DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Airport

We had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Airport. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The rooms were spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable, and everything was well organised. The staff were friendly, professional, and always happy to help. The warm cookie on arrival was a lovely touch. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. Its close proximity to the airport is a big advantage. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Stayed for a couple of nights before Hogmany. The rooms were great The service was hit or miss. The front desk let us stand outside for too long waiting for the shuttle. And only told us it would be late after we came in to warm up. I expect a higher level of customer service from a Hilton branded hotel

This hotel is ideally situated within a 5 minute walk of Edinburgh Airport. The staff are just great and go above and beyond expectations. There is a fitness suite included in the price to which we felt welcomed. The room was great and in particular was cool so we could sleep. Floni on the desk especially was lovely and helpful.

A pleasant overnight stay before early morning flight. Room was large and modern with all key amenities in place. Big tv was great. Beds super comfortable. The gentleman who checked us in was great and super polite/helpful - thank you. We had a few niggles but didn’t want to reduce our rating as the stay was still fine overall: - There are handy EV charging bags which I took advantage of, however most of these were blocked by non-EVs which was very frustrating! There was only one left when I arrived as most were blocked by non electric cars. The hotel should do more the make this clearer or enforce the rules. - The bed sheets were a bit tatty and frayed which I wouldn’t expect for a Hilton hotel, these need to be checked more frequently. - I’ve never stayed at a double tree where there were absolutely no complimentary products in the bathroom. We had to call and request and it was promptly provided, but it would be helpful to have a basic selection already there eg vanity kit. - Whilst being a generally pleasant stay, it did fall a bit short in terms of our expectations of a doubletree and as a Hilton gold member.

Close to the airport 9mins walk tops, fantastic rooms, clean, organised, pool is great so is the sauna. Even after all that I would come for the service in the restaurant it is friendly and the restaurant is well kept and looks great. The food is fantastic we had the Scottish muscles which were delicious and had so much flavour along with the pork belly bites that were crunchy and yet so tender. On top of this the battered fish and chips were great and so was the chicken kebab. Overall a great place to stay and eat!!

Hotel Review: DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Airport Dates of stay: November 5 till 11 ,2025 Purpose of stay: Holiday with my husband My husband and I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Airport for a holiday in Scotland, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The hotel’s location is excellent—close to the airport and with easy access to all the places we planned to visit. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable. A special mention goes to Thomas Peachy, the manager, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Our room was comfortable and clean, providing a relaxing space after long days of exploring. We also appreciated the hotel’s facilities, which were well-maintained and convenient for guests. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Edinburgh. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip!

Comfortable beds and lovely pillows. Walking distance to airport. Nice food and bar in evening. Complimentary water but no tea/coffee facilities. Practical airport hotel.

We spent a night at the hotel as we were visiting the theatre in Edinburgh. We checked in online and was able to get into our room to drop off our bags before heading off which was great. .On arriving at the hotel Floni, the receptionist greeted us with a lovely welcome and a warm cookie and was very helpful in informing us of how to get into Edinburgh by tram. We were able to get on the car park bus to the tram terminal at the airport into Edinburgh and the same coming back. In the morning Floni was on duty again and greeted us with a lovely warm smile and a cheery demeanour. There was a male receptionist on at the same time who was lovely too but unfortunately we didn’t get his name. Both of them were fantastic but Floni really stood out as someone who we felt comfortable approaching, who made us feel extremely welcome and is an absolute credit to the company. We will certainly be back the next time we are either visiting Edinburgh or jetting off somewhere lovely. Thank you Floni for making our stay that bit more enjoyable.
